Wool Lambsulation is a family owned business. We are excited about this green wool insulation product and wanted to tell you how we were fortunate to learn about it.
We have a 120 year old home that needed many modifications to preserve it. Because we are concerned both about the environment and the health of our family, we decided to use green products wherever possible as we made changes to our home. We spent numerous hours researching a green product to better insulate our attic and walls. Each product we reviewed seemed far from green, although each presented themselves as such. The products we evaluated had significant problems with one or more of the following: chemicals, flammability, moisture, and settling.
While on a business trip to New Zealand, we found out about the unique insulating attributes of lamb’s wool, as well as how it’s natural characteristics keeps Wool Lambsulation from settling. The New Zealand Wool Industry commissioned a research study to identify and develop new eco-friendly products using the natural attributes of wool from New Zealand. One of the products that evolved from this study was using wool as an insulator. One of the people involved in this study was Stephen Fookes who has over forty years of research in the development of wool products. We were fortunate to meet with Stephen who helped answer all of our green insulation questions.
We were so excited about this 100% green wool insulation, that we came back to the United States and met with other family members. We all agreed this is a product that is needed in the U.S. as so many people, like us, are also concerned about their health, the environment and sustainability. Wool Lambsulation is now being introduced into the United States as nature’s greenest insulation product!
We are assured that Lambsulation is 100% safe based on it being nature’s insulation and having no harsh chemicals or odors. If we did not feel it was so safe, we would not have chosen to photograph our son surrounded by this environmentally friendly product.
